Pinewood Derby - March 6-7, 2020
Location: Journey Church auditorium (the big room on the right when you enter the church)
Uniform: Class B uniforms can be worn!
Rules reminder: we use the rules on the instruction sheet in the box. Please use those rules when designing the car.
Friday night Car Registration in big auditorium - 6:30PM-8:00PM - please bring your car to the big auditorium (the big room on the right as you enter the church). We will weigh the cars, register them and then keep them overnight. Once registered, the cars will not be available until Saturday. Before the races, you will be allowed to put graphite on the axles. No other modifiations are allowed.
Saturday Pinewood Derby races in big auditorium - 2:00-5:00PM - we should be able to startup by 2PM. Each den will have a mini-tournament and a Den winner is selected. The den winners will be entered in the championship races. Trophies will be awarded to each Den winner, a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place championship trophy and a Best in Show, Most Patriotic and Most Scout Spirit trophies.
Volunteers needed on Friday and Saturday in big auditorium - please reply if you can help!
Friday 6-8:30 PM We'll need help with registration, packing up the cars and track setup. Any time you can spare will be appreciated!
Saturday 1:30PM - 2PM - we'll need help getting the track ready, setting up the tables and unpacking the cars
Saturday 5:00-6:00PM - we'll need help breaking down the track, cleaning up, etc.
